How Merge PDF Works
Our Merge PDF tool combines multiple PDF documents into a single file entirely within your browser. No uploads, no server processing — your files stay on your device throughout the entire process.
How to use: Select two or more PDF files using the upload area. The files will be merged in the order they are listed. Click "Convert & Download" to receive your merged PDF instantly.
Privacy: All processing happens locally using the pdf-lib library. Your documents are never sent to any server.
Frequently asked questions
How do I merge PDF files without uploading them?
Select two or more PDFs using the upload area above. They are read directly into your browser, combined in the order listed, and downloaded as one file. Nothing is sent to a server at any point.
What order will the pages be in?
Files merge in the order they appear in the list after you select them. Remove and re-add a file to change its position.
Does merging reduce quality?
No. Merging copies the original page objects byte for byte into the new document. Text stays selectable, images keep their original resolution, and nothing is re-encoded.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no limit imposed by us, because there is no upload. The practical ceiling is your device's available memory. Most browsers handle documents of several hundred megabytes comfortably; very large files are limited by RAM, not by a paywall.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Every tool here runs inside your browser tab using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your file is read from disk into memory, processed on your own device, and the result is handed straight back to you. Nothing is transmitted, nothing is stored, and nothing is deleted afterwards because nothing ever arrived.
