How Repair PDF Works

What this fixes. Many PDFs that refuse to open are not really damaged — they have a broken cross-reference table, a bad trailer, or were truncated by a failed download or sync. This tool parses what it can, discards the broken index, and writes a fresh, valid PDF structure around your content.

What it cannot fix. If the page data itself is missing or overwritten, no tool can invent it back. When the file is damaged beyond recovery the parser will fail and you will get a clear error rather than a silently empty document.

Before anything else, try re-downloading or re-exporting the original. A fresh copy beats any repair.
