How PDF to Excel Works
This tool produces a genuine .xlsx workbook, one sheet per PDF page, that Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers and LibreOffice open directly.
How columns are found. A PDF has no concept of a table — it stores text at coordinates. This tool reads the horizontal position of every piece of text, clusters the positions that repeat down the page, and treats those clusters as column boundaries. Rows are rebuilt from shared baselines. Values that look numeric are written as real numbers, so they sum and sort correctly instead of arriving as text.
What works well. Bank statements, invoices, price lists, exported reports — anything with consistent column alignment. After converting, you will be told how many pages were recognised as genuinely tabular.
What does not. Tables split across pages, merged or nested cells, and multi-line cells may need tidying. No converter gets every PDF table right; this one tells you honestly when the grid was unclear rather than silently producing junk.
